About

Portrait of Mohammad Alhulani in a dark suit and tie, arms folded

I graduated with a First-Class BSc in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics from Kingston University London. I am working towards my first role as a junior penetration tester.

I practise on TryHackMe, working on both SOC investigations and offensive labs, and I run a small home lab with virtual machines for security testing. I want to join a team where I can learn from experienced testers.

How I approach a room

  1. Look

    Reconnaissance: find what is there

I start by finding out what is running, without touching anything.

  2. Map

    Enumeration: services, versions, entry points

I list every service and version to find possible ways in.

  3. Test

    Exploitation: try safe, controlled attacks

I try controlled attacks, only in legal lab environments.

  4. Learn

Lessons: what worked and how to defend it

I write down what worked and how a defender could stop it.
